Tencel is made from wood-pulp, this fabric is soft, absorbent, easy to handle and to sew. This fabric is designed to wick away moisture and leave you feeling cool, dry and super comfortable. Tencel is stronger than cotton when wet thus holds up better in a warmer machine wash. Tencel is generally produced in a more enviromentally way using ethically sourced dyes. Suitable for tops, dresses, skirts garments with fullness, pleats or gathers to take advantage of the drape.
Please wash before cutting out, iron whilst slightly damp
Sew with a regular needle 75/10, 80/11 on a medium stitch length 2.5mm. Interfacing should be lightweight such as Vlieseline H180. Tip...let the fabric feed naturally. Topstitching helps flatten the seams. Topstitch close to the finished edge, lengthen stitch to 3.5mm. Hem using a double turn.
