Polyster satin faille has a very fluid drape with a beautiful sheen used for bridal, gowns, wide legged trousers, over shirts, nightwear and lingerie
Sew with a 70/10 microtex needle, 2-2.5mm stitch length, do use a new needle when starting the project to prevent skipped stitches, hold the fabric taut front and back as you feed the fabric through when sewing. Dry iron and do not overpress, advisable to use a pressing cloth placed between the seam to prevet indentation coming through on the fabric surface.
Interfacing, you can underline with silk organza,if using a fusible do check on a waste piece of fabric using a dry iron.
Hemming...stitches will show through, if you underline then you can achieve invisible hems, but if not then we have a hemming fusible tape that enables you to achieve no stitch showing on the front of the garment but must be applied with a dry iron.
Polyester satin is washable...with care and dependent on the construction, if you have underlined dry cleaning is recommended, if washing put into a pillow case or wash bag, turning the fabric with the satin side inside so it will not snag on the washing machine drum.
